Hygene Valves

Hygene Valves

Unique Mixproof Valves

Unique mixproof valves enable the simultaneous flow of two different products or fluids through the same valve without risk of cross-contamination.

Cost effective mixproof valve

Alfa Laval Unique mixproof valves feature two independent plugs, which means that a single Unique mixproof valve can often replace two or more valves of other types.

Exceptional spillage-free operation

A state-of-the-art double-seat design provides long-lasting, spillage-free operation thus minimizing the risk of product contamination. The use of double lip seals provides added protection to ensure safe and hygienic operation.

Easy valve to maintain and clean

Unique mixproof valves feature a top-loaded design, making maintenance fast and easy. It also features no adjustable components, a maintenance-friendly actuator and built-in leakage detection on all seals. Unique mixproof valves meet most hygienic standards and can be supplied with the optional SpiralClean cleaning system.

Butterfly valves

Alfa Laval butterfly valves are straightforward on/off routing valves with a substantial opening area and low flow resistance. They are an optimal solution in modern processing technology and ideal for use with low and medium-viscosity liquids.

Unique SSV

Ideal for uninterrupted production in a broad range of hygiene-critical applications, Unique single seat valves are pneumatic seat valves used to shut off or change product flow.

Versatile and reliable single seat valve

Alfa Laval Unique single seat valves (SSVs) are robust and reliable pneumatic seat valves that are supremely reliable and versatile. Modularity provides cost-effective and nearly endless possibilities for purpose-built seat valves that meet high standards of hygiene and aseptic compatibility. Configure the Unique SSV valve bodies, plugs and actuators to meet virtually any requirement.

Superior valve process safety

The Unique SSV range is built on a proven modular platform used on more than a million valves in service worldwide. Pressed from a single stainless steel disc, the valve body is extremely strong and durable, thus ensuring production safety. The enhanced performance of the actuator makes operation safer and more efficient.

Exceptional valve hygiene

The Unique SSV range is engineered to provide excellent hygiene and cleanability. With a surface finish of Ra ≤ 0.8μm, the smooth, weld-free valve body eliminates crevices that can trap bacteria. The design of the plug supports enhanced cleaning-in-place capabilities, and a double-acting lip seal that minimizes any risk of cross-contamination.

Alfa Laval Unique SSV valves meet most hygienic standards requested in the dairy, food and beverage, and personal care industries. The Unique SSV range is EHEDG-certified and authorized to carry the 3-A symbol. The range also provides full traceability in compliance with the EU Food Regulation 1935/2004.

Greater valve durability

To ensure high sealing quality, the Unique SSV range features defined compression of the O-rings with metal-to-metal contact between plug and seat. This significantly reduces wear and extends valve service life

Low total cost of ownership

Thanks to its straightforward, reliable design, the Unique SSV range provides long service life, reduced product loss, greater product safety and more processing uptime. Few moving parts reduce service requirements and inventory costs. More effective CIP procedures with reduced cleaning cycles and, subsequently, the reduced use of cleaning fluids, water and utilities also contribute to the Unique SSV's low total cost of ownership.

Ball valves

Alfa Laval ball valves are constructed with a full-flow body design, enabling the product to pass through the valve with no restrictions and with a minimal pressure drop. The basic design allows cleaning and product recovery using pigging systems, and they are ideal for use with viscous liquids and liquids containing solid or semi-solid particles. Alfa Laval ball valves for hygienic use bear the Alfa Laval SBV and Alfa Laval Tri-Clover® designations.

Regulating valves

Alfa Laval regulating valves are used for adjusting or monitoring flow volumes and flow directions. Specially designed for use in a broad range of metering, blending, weighing and filling system applications, they are the ideal solutions for precision control of flow rate or pressure.

Diaphragm valves

We offer a wide range of well-proven diaphragm valves. They are built on a modular design and can be configured to meet to any specific requirement. Alfa Laval diaphragm valves are ideal for use in sterile and ultra-hygienic processes and supplied with a comprehensive documentation package.

LKC Non-return Valve

Specially designed for use in stainless steel pipe installations, LKC-2 non-return valves prevent the reverse flow of fluids. Widely used in various processes throughout the sanitary industry, these standard non-return valves are safe and highly reliable.

Safe and reliable process protection

Alfa Laval LKC-2 Non-return valves are highly reliable check valves ensure single directional product flow through process lines. This provides protection for process equipment that can be affected by reverse flow and prevents pressure surges and/or system shutdown.

Non-return valve range

The standard range of Alfa Laval LKC-2 non-return valves are constructed of standard 304 or acid-resistant 316L stainless steel. Easy to install, the valves are designed to handle maximum product pressure up to 10 bar and temperatures ranging from -10°C to 140°C (EPDM). For added versatility, these check valves are available with either a semi-bright or polished finish, and a variety of welding ends for ISO or DIN connections.

Shutter valves

Alfa Laval shutter valves are suitable in applications with large products, high viscous or strict requirements minimizing pressure loss. The shutter valve range is designed for use in the food, chemical, pharmaceutical and other industries with high hygiene requirements.
